Slain Karen leader: Rebel effort is self defense. CNN International, March 30, 2008

CNN recounted their interview with Pa Doh Mahn Sha, the secretary-general of the Karen National Union (KNU) who was assassinated in February by agents of the SPDC in Thailand. Mahn Sha spoke about the KNU’s drive for democracy and to prevent the Burmese junta from burning Karen villages, destroy their food supply and repressing the Karen people and way of life.
